June 14, 2021: Alliance for Climate Justice & Clean Energy along with Pakistan Renewable Energy Coalition submitted their comments in response to the Indicative Generation Capacity Expansion Plan (IGCEP) 2021, prior to the public hearings held by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on the Indicative Generation Capacity Expansion Plan (IGCEP).  IGCEP 2021 has been issued by National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) for review and approval by NEPRA.

The RE Coalition is a group of allied organizations and individuals working to assist in accelerating the growth of renewable energy in Pakistan’s energy mix and foster implementation of goals set within the Alternate and Renewable Energy Policy 2019, Paris Climate Agreement and Nationally Determined Contributions of Pakistan.

The alliance and the RE coalition submitted these comments with the hope that the suggestions are taken up by NEPRA in the public hearing and are incorporated in any further revisions or iterations of the IGCEP 2030.

The complete comments and suggestions submitted to NEPRA can be viewed in the attachments section below.
